Description
Distinguishing features of the Morgan Horse are a compact muscular but refined build, strong legs, clean-cut head, broad forehead, large prominent eyes and well-defined withers with a well-arched neck. It can range in color but is generally bay, black or chestnut. In 1907, the U.S. Department of Agriculture established the U.S. Morgan Horse Farm in Middlebury, Vermont. Its aim was to perpetuate and improve the breed. The Morgan horse is the official state animal of Vermont.

The biographical History Mugs were created to teach and inspire individuals to learn about our diverse and interesting history. The biographies were researched and written by history enthusiast, Robert Compton. He colorized most of the historic photos and images used on the mugs, which were originally black and white or sepia-tone. The images and biographies are imprinted on mugs at his studio in rural Vermont.
