Description
Mike Pence was a lawyer who became a conservative radio and television talk show host. He was elected to the U.S. House in 2000, and described himself as a “principled conservative” and supporter of the Tea Party movement, saying he was “a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican, in that order.” In 2013, he was elected governor of Indiana and was picked as Donald Trump’s V.P. in 2016. Mike Pence chaired the National Space Council and was appointed chairman of the White House Coronavirus Task Force that was established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Task Force was not effective in controlling the pandemic as a gulf widened between the scientists and politicians who followed Trump’s claims the virus was a hoax. Pence was a loyal supporter of Donald Trump.
This U.S. Vice President Mike Pence History Mug is part of our U.S. Vice Presidents Series which includes all of the US Vice Presidents.
The biographical History Mugs were created to teach and inspire individuals to learn about our diverse and interesting history. The biographies were researched and written by history enthusiast, Robert Compton. He colorized most of the historic photos and images used on the mugs, which were originally black and white or sepia-tone. The images and biographies are imprinted on mugs at his studio in rural Vermont.
